Capt. Walter H. Sigafoos III Road Dedication on National POW/MIA Recognition Day

WHAT: Rep. Kristin Marcell (R-Bucks) will host a dedication ceremony naming a portion of Second Street Pike in honor of Capt. Walter H. Sigafoos III, a Richboro native and U.S. Air Force officer who went missing in action during the Vietnam War.

The ceremony will take place on National POW/MIA Recognition Day, adding special significance to the tribute.

WHEN: Friday, Sept. 18, 10:30 a.m.

WHERE: Addisville Church, 945 Second Street Pike, Richboro, PA 18954

DETAILS: Capt. Sigafoos disappeared on April 25, 1971, after the F-4 Phantom he was serving aboard crashed in Laos near the Ho Chi Minh Trail. He remains the only Bucks County service member still listed as missing in action from the Vietnam War.

The ceremony will honor his service, his sacrifice and the enduring impact his disappearance has had on his family and community.

Attendees are asked to use the designated event parking area shown on the event map and enter and exit from Township Road only.
